Field Sales Representative – Process Technology Egypt (m/f/d)

We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Field Sales Representative (m/f/d) to join our Process Technology team in Africa.  The position will be based in Egypt, and the holder will act as a local point of customer contact, handle customer inquiries, visit existing and new customers, generate sales opportunities, close revenue deals and grow the IKA Process Technology market share within the territory.

 

Your Responsibilities:

As a Field Sales Representative, you will represent IKA externally and actively contribute to strengthening our brand image. You will create awareness and generate sales opportunities through a variety of marketing and sales activities:

  • Be the local contact for IKA Process customers and channel partners and maintain strong relationships
  • Visit existing and potential new customers/channel partners to present IKA Process solutions
  • Identify and qualify sales leads and grow a healthy opportunity pipeline across targeted industries.
  • Close sales deals and achieve revenue KPIs for assigned territory
  • Maintain a clean, up-to-date customer database in IKA CRM system
  • Support local channel partners in promoting the IKA brand to expand market share and enhance customer satisfaction
  • Implement of local sales and marketing activities directed by the sales management including exhibitions, workshops, trials and training
  • Respond to customer inquiries and provide feedback on IKA’s portfolio (in collaboration with other departments and local partners)
  • Prepare timely reports and attend scheduled meetings with management to provide feedback on sales activities and plans, market trends and competition activities

Your Qualifications:

  • Diploma in Technical or any Science-related course
  • At least 1-year proven experience in technical sales
  • Basic understanding of IKA processing technology, products and applications
  • Good knowledge of North African manufacturing industry
  • Strong negotiation and communication skills - English language (spoken and written a must), Knowledge of French will be an added advantage.
  • Willingness and ability to travel within the assigned territory
  • Ability to work independently with limited supervision
  • Aggressive, highly motivated and outgoing personality
  • Reliable, respectful and professional demeanor – high emphasis on integrity and accountability
  • Quick learner with a strong desire for knowledge
  • Identification with the IKA brand – experience with multinational company a plus
  • Holder of valid driving license and own car desirable
