IKA is seeking a highly driven and experienced Account Manager to rapidly drive revenue growth. This is a sales position that requires exceptional sales skills and a proven track record of (over-)achieving sales targets. Reporting to the Global Business Development Manager the Account Manager will be responsible for sales of our IKA Habitat Research products and other Bioprocessing equipment in the assigned territory/region. Responsibilities:
- Assess relevant customers and accounts in sales territory to identify new sales opportunities and areas for growth.
- Pursue new business opportunities through targeted prospecting, lead generation and networking activities. Develop and nurture relationships with potential clients to expand the customer base and drive new revenue.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing bioprocessing clients in academia, biotech and other industries, serving as their primary contact for bioprocessing-related inquiries.
- Ensure the achievement of annual sales targets by contacting and visiting customers and conducting product presentations and demos (both online and onsite)
- Select, coordinate and participate in tradeshows within the region
- Organize and coordinate individual table top shows with partners and customers
- Drive own bioprocessing opportunities through the sales funnel, from prospecting and lead generation to deal closure
- Collaborate with IKA’s laboratory salesforce to identify cross-selling opportunities and develop, propose and close respective opportunities
- Become proficient in technical product- and application knowledge to remain competitive and provide best-in-class support to our customers
- Utilize CRM system to track sales funnel and activities
- Collaborate with Customer Service, Marketing, Product Management and Supply Chain to ensure seamless execution of sales initiatives
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Life Sciences or related field
- Proven track record of success in scientific sales, with at least 4 years of experience in similar role.
- High degree of self-motivation and target-orientation, ability to thrive in a fast-paced, growth-oriented environment.
- Customer first mindset.
- Strong communication skills with proficiency in English.
- Willingness to travel and driver’s license.
